I met up with the Foust family back over the summer for a sweet early morning session on Assateague.  Andrew, winning all of the “best husband” points, planned this session as a surprise for his wife while on vacation.  I’m so glad they chose to hit the beach super early; I feel like the bright, cheery atmosphere just suited this family’s sunny disposition perfectly!

This Virginia anniversary session on Assateague Beach stood out to me when I was reviewing my work from the past year for a few reasons; first of course is how gorgeous Stefanie and Aaron are (obviously).  But secondly was because of how much love these two let shine throughout their session.  It can be really hard to let a total stranger share in your intimacy, but these two welcomed me in and allowed me to catch a glimpse of that special connection only a husband and wife share.  I clearly had a lot of favorites for a lot of reasons, so I hope you enjoy them!

While we are all squirreled away for the winter I thought I’d take a little time to go back through my work and share some favorites from the past year or so, starting with this beautiful family and their Assateague lifestyle photography session. Although my work load was noticeably smaller this year (like everyone’s), I actually appreciated the chance to take things slow and really enjoyed focusing on the people and the art. I can’t wait to share some more of what’s been going on around here during my break from posting! Enjoy!
