Caitlin and Henry’s rustic, environmentally conscious wedding this past fall in Mount Airy, Maryland, was by far one of my favorite weddings to date. These two have a great awareness of their impact in the world, and transferred that into a wedding that was full of personal, respectful touches that were completely “them”. From the home crafted beer to the seasonal florals, every detail was a perfect blend of their personalities and their lifestyle (including their favorite Thai food for dinner and an amazing vintage inspired tea length dress, just to name a few more details-so, so “them”). Caitlin and Henry are one of the best matched couples I’ve met, and I absolutely loved every single minute of this fall day.

The first time I met Cody was minutes before his wedding; he was calm, composed, and absolutely beaming.  The first time I saw Carly was as she walked down the aisle, and it was clear why Cody had tears slipping out of the corners of his eyes when he saw her.  I think the word stunning is an understatement, but more than that she radiates such a kind, compassionate vibe that makes it easy to see how Cody fell for her.  Their ceremony on the water at Pell Gardens was so intimate and emotional, with laughter and tears alternating frequently. And as I watched I found myself lost in the words at times, laughing along and feeling like I’d known them for their whole relationship.

I had such a great time with these two in the short time we spent together and honestly felt completely honored to be asked to capture their wedding.  Though I don’t usually post a ton of ceremony images, the amount of emotion and love they showed I just couldn’t narrow down my favorites.  I hope you smile as much as I do looking at this stunning, completely in love couple.

Pockets on wedding gowns and groom’s that will carry their ladies shoes are two of my new favorite things. Just saying.
Venke and Heath’s gorgeous Herrington Bay wedding this past weekend was not only crazy fun but absolutely stunning. Every detail was covered-the bridesmaids even had robes in colors that somehow fit each one perfectly. Add in the fact that these two are total babes and have the most fun group of friends and family and I was in photographer’s heaven. As you know I totally suck at all this words business but that’s ok because this wedding is a real beaut to look at-
